At the birth of Jesus, Luke tells us that the heavens themselves erupted in celebration. A multitude of angels appeared and proclaimed: “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased.” This was the miracle moment—the moment when God Himself stepped onto the earth in human form, fulfilling ancient prophecies and long-awaited hopes. Let us be careful not to treat the truth of this season as something ordinary or familiar. The wonder we sense every Christmas is not a vague feeling; it is the miracle moment of Jesus Himself. Receive Him this season with a heart full of awe and wide-open wonder—receive Him as Savior.
